Client Vision
The Client required a secure area which could be monitored remotely an additional local need was the requirement to prevent animal access to the site which was solved by burying 400mm of the Kilmainham Fence.
The Key Challenges
This was an installation of a one of our most popular products with a contractor whom Brian Healy our Munster Area Manager had Liased with Teddy O’Donovan (Senior Project Surveyor) and Ciaran Barrett (Project Manager) A site assesment agreed a mutually acceptable programme of work. The unusual features were burying the fence 400mm in the ground and the very steep slope at the ends of the Pad. The first was accomplished by excavating a trench into the base of which the posts were installed 600mm below the bottom and then concreted in the trench was then backfilled. The slope was accomodated by the use of steps in the fence level.
